Mobile History
Hellenic IT MuseumDescription
Starting the story and thinking that man has always had the need to communicate, the only thing that changes is the means by which this is achieved!
From messengers and carrier pigeons to the first cables to carry voice from one place to another, a fascinating story unfolds, full of both invention and controversy.
Who, after all, is the ‘father’ of the telephone? Did mobile phones exist 60 years ago? Were they really mobile phones? What happened on 3 April 1973 that changed the world of mobile communication?
All these questions are answered during the educational program and, through the corresponding exhibits, the public can see the evolution of mobile telephony in front of them.
