Description

When was Christmas first celebrated and how was this day of celebration established? How did the joyful character of this celebration affect the folk traditions? When and how did the custom of the Christmas tree travel to Greece? Santa Claus in a red suit with a white beard or in black clothes with a black beard?

With many years of experience in experiential educational tours, we walk the main streets of Christmassy Thessaloniki, share stories about Macedonian kings and Roman emperors, Christmas trees and ships, carols, trolls and mistletoes, and learn about Christmas customs and traditions in the most fun way!

Through this specially designed educational tour – which is every time adapted to the special needs and requirements of each group of audience – the goal is to introduce children to the several aspects of modern traditions through their history and past.

Note: The program is offered per class of a maximum of 30 students
