Historical retrospection and presentation of the musical instruments that make up the Rebetiko Orchestra.
The retrospection is based on the evolutionary course of the first ancient Greek musical instruments that were ancestors of the Rebetiki “Kompania”. The whole presentation takes place around a virtual discovery that the students are invited to make in collaboration with the instructor-Music Educator and manage in the end to enter the role of their own Rebetiko band. In a pleasant way, imagination and intense interaction, students will travel through time with the aim of acquiring knowledge and musical stimuli around the Greek musical tradition.
The program presents visual material of the ancestors from the musical instruments: bouzouki, accordion, guitar, violin and timprel. The contact with the musical instruments of today is done through an interactive game of sounds through the instruments that exist in the exhibition space. Additional audiovisual material motivates students for a rhythmic game that will introduce them to the creation of their own “Rebetiki Kompania”.
